This is probably one of my favorite days of the year. Every year I buy a new plant to keep alive. I always revisit the thought of starting on my own as well, every year on the same day. Today to be exact. I love Earth Day after having London because of how interested she is in nature. She enjoys collecting sticks and rocks. She organizes them by color, shape, or size. She loves flowers and is familiar with a few she’s come across. She’s visual and observant. She loves posing in front of trees and picking flowers off people’s gardens despite what I say. Today we went on a plant adventure trying to find our favorite. We ended up with another succulent plant… those are good for me since I suck at keeping them alive. Lately, I’ve been good though. I am about to mark my year anniversary with the plans I got when I first moved into my apartment. That’s honestly one of my proud accomplishments this year. One is on the verge of dying but that’s okay. It made its full year, sorry but I tried.
Today was also another opportunity for me to let the universe take its course. I’m letting it take whatever it needs to give me what I need in return. I am letting things come and go as I harmonize through this all. It’s also my lucky number this year. 22.22. Which is only the beginning of a fresh start, and I am allowing it.
